There is no one in this world who is completely without any "hurt".

When I was young, I read the essays of the great literary figure Lu Xun. He said,

"The joys and sorrows of human beings are not shared by others," and I didn't take it seriously.

When one reaches middle age, having experienced all kinds of flavors of life, they can truly understand the profound meaning behind it and firmly believe in it.

A certain event that happened many years ago left me unable to let go for a long time: My best friend from middle school got married, and she repeatedly urged me to attend the ceremony in person. I readily agreed and was full of anticipation, making all the necessary preparations.

But as her wedding date approached, I suddenly received an urgent task that was crucial to my career. I was definitely unable to attend my friend's wedding. I called her and, with great regret, told her about my helplessness.

She said it was okay, but after the wedding, she completely cut off all contact, ignoring calls and blocking messages on WeChat.

Indeed, it is very difficult to truly empathize with others in this world. Even the closest people cannot fully understand your present situation or feel your emotions.

From that point on, I finally understood that 99% of the things that happened to me had absolutely no meaning at all to others.

Such examples can be found everywhere in life.

Everyone has their own development timeline.

  • When you are enjoying the joy brought by your achievements, others might be in the predicament of being laid off;
  • when you are struggling to balance work and family life, others might have already achieved financial freedom and live a carefree life.

In fact, in this world, the person who resonates with you most deeply is always yourself.

Everyone wants to be understood and everyone wants to be sympathized with. However, in this big world, there are always certain aspects that don't receive attention or care.

I recalled a sentence said by the writer Zhou Guoping:  The understanding or misunderstanding between people is fate, while misunderstandings are the tricks of fate. I accept fate calmly, but I feel sorrowful at the tricks it plays.

The writer Yang Jiang once said: "There is no one in this world who has never suffered any wounds."

When facing painful and confusing situations, instead of wallowing in self-pity and complaining to everyone, it's better to wipe away your tears and deal with it by yourself.

Whether others understand or not, you should stand firmly behind yourself, support yourself and give yourself a boost.

Life is truly tough, and the only way to overcome it is by oneself.

At all times, believe that you are the savior of yourself and the ferryman of life.
